I’ve been working on this story for a while and can’t seem to find the time to finish it. I have the entire outline finished of how I want the story to go and the first chapter is completed while the second chapter is about 75% done. It does need to be edited and some parts might need to be deleted as it is very long but we’ll see. Here is a little excerpt so you can see for yourself.
Chapter 1: Bella POV
I walked around Alice’s chair to stand between the pair and leaned down to pull her into a fierce hug. My eyes were still tearing up as I pulled back slightly to place a light kiss on her cheek.
“I love you, Ali. Congratulations,” I said with a sniffle. She gave me a watery smile before returning a light kiss on my cheek.
“Love you too, Bells,” She pulled back before looking over to Jasper. I leaned down to hug him next. He hugged me gently before pulling back, lightly kissing my cheek.
“I love you, Bella. Thank you,” I returned a kiss to his cheek before leaning back to wipe off the lipstick mark with a slight chuckle. I stood up fully.
“Love you too, Jazz,” He grinned at me before turning to Alice and pulling her in for a deep kiss. I walked back to my seat, handed the DJ the microphone and took my seat as the DJ announced that dinner was being served.
I’m going to have fun tonight I told myself sternly. I hadn’t allowed myself to let loose for a while. I downed the rest of the champagne.

I was so caught up in the conversations at the head table and finishing up my meal that I almost didn’t hear the DJ announce the couple’s first dance. Almost. I had to stop mid-conversation with Alice’s sister Cynthia, the other bridesmaid, to tell the newlyweds about the dance.
Jasper promptly stood up from the table and held his hand out for Alice to grasp. She took his hand, smiling as she stood, and followed him to the black and white dance floor. A hush fell over the crowd as we watched them glide to the center of the room.
Amazed by Lonestar started to play throughout the room and I watched as Jasper and Alice slowly revolved in the same spot. Occasionally they would look at each other and smile like they were the only ones in the room.
It was so sweet to watch them. Tears welled up in my eyes again as I watched him lean down to whisper something in her ear. She started giggling while they continued to revolve around slowly. The photographer was snapping away like crazy.
I couldn’t help but be a little jealous. I want that. I want to find someone who will look at me like I’m the only one in the room. I want someone who will whisper sweet nothings in my ear and make me laugh at the smallest things. Why couldn’t I find him?
I was suddenly reminded of the dream I had this morning. I was in this flower filled meadow, gazing upon the most handsome man I had ever seen. In dreamland or reality. He was surely a God. The man of my dreams, I thought with a smirk.
He had the most unruly mop of bronze-colored hair, a handsome angular face with high cheekbones, dazzling green eyes, and full, kissable lips. He was the missing half of my soul. My body longed to reach out for him when he began to move towards me.
“Where have you been all my life?” I remember asking him. He was standing right before me and whispered “I’m here now,” before pulling me into the best and sweetest kiss of my life. Of course it just had to be only a dream, but it felt so real. I woke up with my lips tingling.
I was brought out of my daydream as I heard the song was coming to an end and I decided a drink was in order. I watched as Jasper led Alice by the hand back towards the head table. I caught her eye and jerked my head towards the bar in the corner. She smiled and nodded enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes and smiled back before walking over to the bar.
I walked up to the bar top and tried to get the bartender’s attention. Once he spotted me standing there, he held up a finger for me to wait as he tended to the other guests. As I waited, I quickly looked out the window. Snow. Looked to be about a good three feet from the looks of it. I hated snow. It’s cold, wet, and unpleasant. Usually with snow there is ice and I can’t seem to stay steady on any type of ice. I decided to turn my thoughts to happier things and glanced around the room.
The reception hall turned out spectacularly. I was thrilled with the wedding planner, Nancy, when I saw the finished product. It looked like a glamorous nightclub. Blues and purples covered every surface of the room, from the napkins and chair covers to the walls and the lights. There was even an archway of blue and purple hydrangeas that went over the stage where the DJ was. It really was beautiful.
Chapter 2 - Edward POV I looked around the flower-filled meadow, observing the way the sunlight brightened everything in sight. One tree in particular stood out to me. I walked across the grass, reaching out with hand to the knot on the tree. I could feel the grains and gnarls under my fingertips. The knot appeared to be in the shape of a heart. I heard a feminine giggle, startling me out of my observations. I whipped around, my hands stretched out in front of me in a defensive position. What I saw made my hands drop down at my side, my mouth hanging agape. Was it an angel? I couldn’t be sure. The sunlight was shining on her luscious mahogany-colored hair, giving her a halo. I was in complete awe of her. Another giggle from her brought me out of my stunned thoughts. I looked at her heart-shaped face. She was so beautiful. He wide, chocolate colored eyes were looking at me in amusement, a large grin on her gorgeous face. I closed my mouth quickly, giving her a slight smirk in return, and began to walk towards her. “Where have you been all my life?” She asked me softly, her grin growing even larger, as I continued to make my way towards her, my own smirk turning into a wide smile. I gazed into her lovely eyes, the distance almost closed between us. I reached for her hand hips to pull her closer to me. She took a step closer to me, her right hand reaching up to cup my cheek and my smile slowly faded. “I’m here now,” I whispered as I placed my left hand on top of the one that was on my cheek, holding it securely to me. I moved my other hand slowly to the back of her neck. Her breathing hitched and her smile dropped as I pulled her closer to me. She sucked in a deep breath then, making my eyes drop to her slightly parted lips. Her thumb on my cheek started to rub back and forth in a comforting motion. I glanced back up into her eyes just as hers dropped to my lips. I smiled and leaned down towards her, closing my eyes, hesitating only slightly. My hypersensitive senses felt the slightest touch, as her lips barely brushed mine. I pulled back, hesitating again to gauge her reaction. Her eyes were closed, covering her beautiful brown eyes, with her lips still parted but formed a small smile, and her breathing was a little erratic. I smirked, enjoying her favorable reaction as I leaned back in, intending to really kiss her this time. Her soft lips met mine again and this time, I applied a light pressure in a closed mouth kiss. I felt our clutched hands release from my cheek, moving mine to her lower back to bring her closer still while hers went up into my hair to hold my face to her. It was the best kiss of my life. I started to part my lips against hers, feeling hers do the same, to deepen the kiss. I could taste her hot, sweet breath in my mouth, as I moved… I jerked awake to the sound of Spongebob Squarepant’s high-pitched, annoying laughter. My breathing was out of control. That was the most intense, vivid dream I’ve ever had. Who was she?
